Esther is a partner at Dutch real estate developer Lingotto. Lingotto has developed many projects in a highly sustainable manner: from transforming an abandoned parking garage into a vibrant food court to realizing sustainably adaptable buildings. And from the first energy-neutral residential tower in The Netherlands to the first BREEAM-Outstanding residential building made of wood. An exceptional story is the Lingotto-forest, where they replant and maintain the amount of trees processed in the wooden buildings HAUT, HoutWerk and future developments made of wood.
One of the first projects Esther worked on at Lingotto was the redevelopment of the A’DAM tower. An old office building which was turned into a vibrant music city. An appealing new hotspot for the people of Amsterdam and for visitors from all over the world. The key to success? The close cooperation with music entrepreneurs and exploiters which eventually led to unforeseen results and creating dreams. Seeing opportunities to make the project better while still keeping the reality of finishing a development in mind, is an important incentive for Esther.
Esther got her degree in Architecture (TU Delft, 1999), after that she worked as an architect and projectmanager. Before starting at Lingotto in 2013, she worked as a freelance real estate developer at several social housing corporations on housing projects and urban developments. Her work at Lingotto includes the projects A’DAM Tower, Westbeat and Smakkelaarspark. At the beginning of 2022 she became a partner at Lingotto.
